Let's keep Madison historic by keeping these old buildings and just do up keep to preserve not demolish.

This historic building should remain a cultural center for Madison not a four story monstrosity of apartments and shops. Downtown Madison should look peaceful and quaint.

The quest for revenue is destroying what charm and beauty Madison possessed. The Theater showed Snow White when it premiered...it is a direct link to our shared past and should be restored to it's original single screen and stage. Overdeveloping Madison will be it's demise. Save the Clock Tower! I mean, save the Movie Theater.

Bring back my Theather! So Madison will be filled with apartment buildings, traffic, with people that really just commute and spend the money elsewhere because honestly this town is in need of more but destruction of history is not one of those things we need. We need Art in every possible way and form.

It seems inconceivable to me that an Historic Preservation Commission could support the demolition of an historic-qualified building in an historic district. Building a new building that "looks like" the old one is not historic preservation. We can do better as a town and a government.

Restoring the movie theater to me means bringing back the idealic town that Madison was. We are privileged to live near: art in all spectrums, universities, library, senior center, museum and restaurants. When I moved here 23 years ago, I thought I don’t ever have to move to a senior community because here I have it all at my finger tips. Needless to say when the movie house shut its doors it was s big loss.

I grew up going to the Madison Theather. The world seems to not appreciate history any longer. We owe it to future generations to protect and preserve history!

Madison is being destroyed. Leave the little historical town alone go build your mansions and fancy crap somewhere else. Morristown must have a spot you haven’t found yet go find it!!

Good grief, ENOUGH with this type of short-sighted, greedy BUFFOONERY. Madison is one of the most attractive places to live in the entire state of New Jersey. Having great historical buildings in its downtown area is a large part of the charm that attracts folks to live in a place like Madison. Remove historical buildings like this and replace them with the moral equivalent of a small strip malls with tenements stacked on top? The charm GOES AWAY, as does any reason to want to live there. Great recipe for a ghost town, if you ask me. Save the theater, indeed!

I always loved going to the movies in Madison. Every downtown should have a movie theatre. Once I is gone it will never come back so it needs to be saved.
