As a teacher in the elementary system that feeds to Norwell, I see how important it is to have a variety of programs such as the arts or CELP for our students to have an opportunity to try! It is essential! Students will choose Elmira or LDSS if there are no programs to draw them to Palmerston. We need these essential programs to reach student who may not be interested in sports but can find their fulfillment in a creative program such as this.

What a beautiful production with talented students learning all aspects of the Arts. Why do only city schools have these special classes? Shame on this high school and school board.

My son thrived and shone like a star as part of this program. It is a wonderful addition to our rural high school.

Arts are just as important as other curriculum. Arts help express unexpressed emotion in a productive manner, therefore please keep the Arts alive and thriving at Norwell for the betterment of the whole community. Total class , in class, with expression of class! Please keep the class!

The arts are essential for student social emotional growth. This program is a great way for students to build strong skills in collaboration and creativity in an authentic manner. In an era where students are experiencing all-time crises in mental health and having trouble connecting, it is truly short-sighted to be cancelling arts programs like this one.

I can’t believe the narrow minded thinking behind this absurd decision! Someone needs to come to their senses and stop this nonsense!

Don’t cancel an art project that people have poured their hearts into. Give it sometime. It’s a part of our lives
