We have attended many of these shows and never left disappointed. This program gives the students phenomenal training in many areas that cannot be taught in the classroom.

The “Arts” are so very important to every child’s development. Expressing creativity in every shape or form whether through drama, art or music is every bit as important as basic reading and writing skills along with sports.
It would be a real shame for the students who need that creative outlet, as well as stifling future career opportunities in the “arts”.

The “Arts” are so very important to every child’s development. It has been proven to be a cognitive stimulant for frontal lobe learning for those who have suffered a traumatic brain disorder, and for those whose brain is not mathematically or scientifically hardwired for learning. Expressing creativity in every shape or form whether through drama, art or music is every bit as important as basic reading and writing skills along with sports.
It would be a real shame for the students who need that creative outlet, as well as stifling future career opportunities in the “arts”.

Drama and arts are an integral part of many student lives. It allows for the development of essential skills many other classes/courses cannot. In a rural community especially, providing youth with these unique opportunities is of upmost importance.

My son took the APP course in grade nine. It gave him a community as he spent two periods everyday with the same students! I always encourage grade eight students to consider this course

I was able to attend the recent performance of Beauty and the Beast with a group of grade 7s and 8s. They were thrilled to see a grade 9 student they knew as a performer in the musical. It is so inspiring for kids!

Norwell Theatre has been a source of pleasure and enjoyment to thousands of attendees each year. The talent and enthusiasm of the students involved in the performances is infectious. This program is a jewel in Norwell's crown. What other "team" can boast of having over 100 students in pursuit of a common goal? We must fight for the continuation of this program.
