Love trees & green space opposite Grampian Court. Red squirrels can often be seen scampering through tree's. Please let's keep something green & beautiful in lovely Aviemore!

i think our few green open recreational spaces should be protected from development.We dont need retirement homes especially there !

These buildings will spoil the open and green look of the village. We and our children need green open space for out mental health, as this space already exists please don't take it away. It will spoil the ambient feeling as you enter the village.

I sledge here with my sisters and we also have brilliant times playing here in the summer. Mum takes a picnic and I take my ball.

Aviemore has changed a lot over the years. I used to visit loads as a child and still occasionally now to visit family... Keep the green areas for playing... Dont build more houses when they are not needed

This is the last green space in Aviemore that we can come and spend time with kids. It's in the centre of Aviemore and it's amazing for people that don't drive. Plus do we really need to develope every empty space? Soon we won't be a nice village anymore.

Open spaces are proven to help mentality and Aviemore has barely any open space any more. These retirement flats will also turn into second homes for the rich from Southern England, pushing up property prices for the young in Aviemore yet again.
Also, I don't want to be staring at a block of flats any time I look out of my window.

One of the few remaining bits of the old centre, let the community have one little refuge left.
We really don't need more properties that are built as play things for the rich. We need homes that can be afforded by the average person in Aviemore, and areas that can be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

As a resident of Grampian Court I object to this development for several reasons.
This green space has been used by both local people and visitors to Aviemore for decades. The strathspey lawn has become a hugely valuable asset to the community and is even listed as an attraction on the visit Aviemore website. The loss of this area would have a detrimental impact on the community as well as the appearance and atmosphere of Aviemore as a popular tourist resort.
The loss of this green space and associated woodland would also undoubtedly have an impact on the wildlife that inhabits this area. The space is home to red squirrels, rabbits and bird life.
Finally, I also object to the nature of this planned development. Aviemore suffers from high house prices and a shortage of affordable homes. These retirement appartments will do nothing to alleviate the housing problems that exist within the community. The majority of these property's will be purchased by people who live outwith the area, no local housing will be "free'd up" by this development as has been suggested by the developer.

We visit Aviemore many times a year and part of the beauty of our visits is the beauty of the centre of the village. Stop the destruction of the area and wildlife habitation.
