Need to do everything we can to get rid of these fish eaters ruining the industry

We have seen rafts of several hundred cormorants gorging themselves on our fish for hours upon hours and days on end. These birds are beautiful but far too plentiful.

I believe this to be a huge problem, I don't want all Cormorants killed but we clearly NEED Populations control. The cormorant population is at a dangerously high level. The latest estimates from the MDNR have the yearly consumption of fish Cormorants eat from the Great Lakes Waters are at an astonishing 77 million pounds of fish! We desperately need Cormorant Control again. We could kill 2 birds with one stone and open a season on the Cormorants during our duck seasons, this would help with our DNR being overwhelmed as well. Please do more to keep the Populations of the Cormorants under control. Thank you for your help!

It is time something is done about these fish eating birds. They do nothing but steal from our Natural Resources and folks that enjoy recreational fishing in the Great Lakes and inland lakes of MI

This is long overdue! There are enough natural forces that contribute to fish mortality without having the extra burden of this predator.

Please help pass legislation to control the cormorants. I own an island on Croton Pond, Newaygo, MI where they roost by the dozens. There feces is killing the trees and they feed constantly on fish.
