(Save OUR Fish) Cormorant Population Control needed throughout the U.S.

There were thousands out in front of our place this fall eating everything

Legalize Cormorant Control in Michigan. These birds and causing overwhelming losses to our fisheries. We put so many recourses, time, and money into our Great Lakes ecosystem, from man made Reefs, to the Hatcheries that release Trout, Salmon, and Walleyes. As well as Hotels restaurants, boat n lure manufacturers, and fishing license sales. We have a Mutli billion dollar industry at stake. Let’s put Common sense control of Cormorants back in the hands of Michigan’s conservationists.

Please help us save our fisheries. These bird need to be controlled before they ruin our economy.

I have personally seen the destruction that Cormorants have done to Lake Conway, Arkansas, Lake Ontario & St Lawrence River New York & Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. Only pro-active, Cormorant Management actions such as spraying their nests with oils & population reduction shooting will preserve the Great Lakes fisheries from being devastated by the overpopulation of Cormorants. They literally eat everything and I have even seen them dive, catch fight over and swallow a 15” northern pike hole in our Sebewaing River as well as land and dive repedely in flocks of 20-30 birds and wipe out tons of our Pearce in less than an a half hour then leave only to return the next couple hours to do it all over again day after day... That’s just wrong especially because they are not even “OUR” American native bird... they need to be removed permanently!

This is a real and urgent problem. The DCCO management program needs to be re-established. Thanks to Rep Bergman for taking this seriously.

I have seen hundreds of these birds destroying a school of fish. They are out of control.

Please institute some kind of population control on these birds. Never saw them as kids, now, 40 years later they hunt in packs by the hundreds and even seen em in the thousands on Saginaw bay. They leap frog the flock and rotate going forward and following schools of fish. They are wiping out the perch. A hunting season or something. Another flight bird season maybe...thank you!

This is a concerning problem! Please help with the removal of this invasive species. They are threatening the great lakes along with many inland lake fish populations.

These birds have been out of control for way too long. Time to thin the flock.

Need serious control of these fish eating birds,I've seen 1st hand the damage they do.
