Stop selling off parcels of land in Towson for short term gain and long term degradation of the quality of living. Traffic here is so horrendous that we need a reduction in commercial development. Leave the fire station be, or renovate it on site.

The current traffic problems alone should be reason enough to nix this deal. How could this intersection handle any more cars? A traffic study is due in 2014. it should be completed before any plans are made for the property.

There are enough pharmacies, gas stations, fast food places, etc. already existing between Bosley and Fairmont on York Road. There are also plenty of people up to no good hanging around the Exxon station directly across from the fire station. Let's fix up our present fire station and make it a better place for our firefighters and EMS teams to live and work. We need them right where they are!

I believe the Royal Farms to be not needed with a 24 hr grocery store, 2 pharmacies and 2 fuel stations all within a quarter mile. The fire station in it's current location is needed. My one question is where will the fuel depot now located at Bosley & Towsontowne be relocated? Will that relocation cause fire trucks to sometimes give poor responce times because of added distance to refuel.

Hopefully our Councilman- David Marks understands that the vast majority of residents of Towson do not want a 20 pump gas station and convenience store to replace a well positioned fire station. Hopefully he will vote with his conscience and for the greater good of Towson and not be a puppet for Kamenetz and Caves Valley Partners!

I do not support the relocation of the fire station and do NOT support a Royal Farms being located at York & Bosley.

I think it's telling that the "plan" for a new fire station isn't a plan at all ... there's no set location yet, no studies, no "planning" at all, just a vague promise that after the parcel is handed over to the developers, that they'll build a new station nearby. It isn't the case that the station is being relocated and this land is being sold off to buy air conditioners (or whatever justification they are selling us now), it's a case of wanting to hand the land to a developer, and figuring out what to do with the fire station later. As to fiscal responsibility, the commercial real estate market is in a slump, and this land is an asset that we can't and won't replace later. We are "selling low" and getting access to a chicken store in return. I'm sorry, but the people of Baltimore County just aren't falling for the bait and switch sale. We know that it's the developers who are being attended to and not to citizens and voters of Baltimore County, and we'll at accordingly in the next election.
