Everything I have read about this is scary. And I'm now completely against these solar farms.

I live north of Orestes. I am very concerned about all the issues listed- especially the effect on wildlife (fencing) and the possible introduction of invasive plant species (shrubs around fencing).

I did not buy a house with land to look out and see solar panels everywhere. I want to be surrounded by corn, beans, tomatoes and peppers. This just makes my heart ache that people think this is ok. Those people are not directly affected unless its fattening their pockets.

Please do not allow this to happen. We need our farms to produce food. These panels' toxic chemicals will damage our land.

Solar panels can be a good source for energy. However this project doesn't seem that it will benefit the community it will be located in (Our community), but rather be a detriment with effects lasting long after the project is over. There are places this project would be better suited for, that aren't already being used or could be used dually. Our farmland should remain farmland.

Why on farmland? Why can't we do this on the Madison County Landfill or on rooftops in industrial areas?

I'm not an expert on this, but I have enough concerns that I would urge caution.

Please use building roofs for this. Or guarantee that there will be NO hazardous waste ever produced or accidentally poison the land. That’s a Guarantee via a rust fund a legal & binding contract with the County and City/Town...

The wind turbans are bad enough. (And from what I understand don't benefit us.) I would hate to see the solar panels go up all over the farmland, they are such an eyesore!

Put solar panels on parking lots or brown fields that can’t be used for no other purposes. Keep our farmland for farming. We need our farmland for feeding the country.
