In a world of ever increasing obesity, why are we isnsistent on taking away opportunties for all ages and future generations to help become active, particiapte in a team sport and ultimately reduce the burden on our precious NHS service. We should be thinking about how to increase the opportunites and choices to become active, not redcue it!! Please Monmouthshire County Council, think again before you make a mistake that could effect future generations.

The loss of squash courts at Caldicot LC would mean that there would be no courts left in the county East of Newport or South of Monmouth. That's a huge area and a lot of people deprived of the opportunity to play squash or racquetball.

These courts are enjoyed by many people. If the courts are no longer in Caldicot then it's one less sport for young and older people to be able to get involved in.

Squash is a great way to let off steam after a day's work. It only takes 45 minutes unlike most other sports that need much longer.

It would be tragic if a facility that promotes health and fitness for both adults and young people were given up in favour of something that replicated existing capabilities and only served very young children.

Squash is on the up again and can be used to improve speed and agility in a range of other sports. Vital that it’s kept going!

Please Monmouthshire council....think long term... I understand the fashionable need for children’s play areas and how popular they are.....and I understand you have to see a return on your facilities.... but surely you should offer a wide selection of sports... Squash is a game for all ages, pockets and sexes and should be promoted, encouraged and celebrated for the members achievements...not sacrificed for short time gains. Please consider your long term actions if you close the squash courts in your leisure centers.... Thank you.

Squash is fantastic sport, we need to protect our sport facilities and encourage everyone to keep fit. Squash is a brilliant indoor sport that is not reliant on the weather.

Shocking News! Council Leisure Centres should be providing and offering a variety of different sports incl squash. These courts have produced international players. Would be a massive loss to the local community.

Save Caldicot squash courts. There are already local soft play centres. It is important to provide a variety of sports to support the well-being of the local community.

Caldicot Squash club is a community group, Monmouthshire Council have an obligation to support groups/club with the locality... The closure of the courts destroy one of these clubs

Squash is an excellent game for all ages from juniors to seniors, and Caldicot has an an active squash presence for a number of years. In a time when exercise and fitness are being encouraged it seems an odd proposal to close Caldicot squash courts in favour of yet another soft play area. Squash courts, and the benefits they bring, should be protected.

The squash courts must be kept. They have helped produce national players. Squash is a popular sport in Caldicot and we need to keep our residents playing and maintaining their fitness
