Casey you are exactly right. This proposed senior community is a way better use of the land than what could currently be done and definitely better than a private golf course. Lower Paxton is an aging community and needs options for the seniors. According to what was discussed at the township meeting all of the units will have visit-ability features like wider door ways, no step entrances, grab bars, etc. that will allow people to stay in their homes as long as they'd like instead of having to be institutionalized to stay within the community.

I have read many of the comments on here and Nextdoor Linglestown. I work with ordinances in my job all the time and what many people do not understand is that Blue Ridge is currently zoned AR (Agricultural Residential). This means that pending plan approval, the developed could build 266 single family houses on this property as it is currently zoned. What they are proposing is to create an age restricted development which would actually alleviate traffic issues as opposed to how the property is currently zoned....

I grew up in the area; it was always so nice, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone came and broke the peace.

Linglestown Road is congested enough. We don't need uncontrolled development. Why do we have to develop every last square inch of land in the area? It lowers our quality of life. Stop the greed.

Please remember that progress for the sake of progress is not conducive to a safe and stable community. The infrastructure in Linglestown is not suited for mass development.

Nice job everyone. If we do this right we can save Blue Ridge like we saved Sportsman's. Let everyone know to get involved and sign the petition and talk to one neighbor and tell them to talk to the next neighbor to keep the ball rolling thanks again.

This is a beautiful and natural area. It should stay as a golf course.
