I use the trail daily, it would be a real loss to have the link between San Clemente and Doheny/Dana Point disappear, please allow the continuation of temporary armoring.

Scientific evidence shows human factors exacerbate sea level rise (due to global warming and related factors). Applying remediating techniques to balance man-made consequences makes common sense. Why wouldn't we act now to preserve and protect beautiful and valuable public infrastructure? Especially when these actions (rip-rap, sand bags, for example), are in response to consequences from global human actions. Not to mention, these simple remediations are temporary, and easily removable. Global reaction and response to climate change takes too long, we need to act now locally. Implementing short term temporary remediation buys us needed time to implement a coordinated long term solution for our changing climate - and world.

I support the efforts of OCParks to restore the historic pathway, preserving it until a long-term solution can be made.
