If that fails ! You could ask Jesus. He lives next doors in that big empty church waiting to hear your confessions.

Nobody seems to have mentioned the fact that its the local polling station. So instead of making your bleating fall on deaf ears to the Diocese, complain to the Local Authority instead.

Please don’t let this great club go down the same road as so many others. It has served the local and wider community for decades and is going to be much needed in the difficult times ahead.

The parish has cared for its community since the day it was opened. It is a place to bring people together and care for them. The Catholic church should understand the role of its club for many who are lonely have little family and often feeling depressed and no where to go. The parish should care for its parishioners . The club would encourage more people to have faith that they are not alone. It should not be seen as a business that has suffered. Please save this club which has been a family and home for thousands over the years. Save the mental health of the community especially now. Come holy spirit Come holy spirit Come holy spirit

This place has been the sole community hub since opening and many good friendships and relationships were established here and hold happy memories for me, from weddings, Birthdays, Christenings and funeral events, please don’t let this fantastic place go.

This will be a tragedy if this is allowed to happen. Can't believe that the Diocese seems to care so little about the long standing Irish Catholic community it is supposed to support who have always devoutly served the church . Shameful!

I've been attending the parish centre since day one of opening, along with many of my friends. Surely the diocese want and need to promote the Catholic faith in these ever increasing secular times. If the parish centre is allowed to close, it's another nail in our hearts.

Fantastic memories. My first open age football team. Best Sundays ever. Meeting my Dad Bernard and Brother Roger for drinks after, irreplaceable.

thanks for your support, alas our case was rejected by Salford diocese. The keys were taken away from us and 'The Club' is now, no more.
