One of the nicest FAMILY pubs we have left there's not many of these about any more, most pubs these days aren't even safe to take your children these days this pub is perfect for families. Me, my children and my family go here all the time and then carry on over to the local park. I'm sure I speak in behalf of many when I say PLEASE don't destroy this beautiful pub to make room for small houses that will end up to crammed together anyway like most houses.

Claregate wouldn't be Claregate without The Claregate Pub! We don't want to live in a concrete jungle of endless housing estates. Preserve our neighbourhood and our community!

When Tesco built the express store Marstons said they would be refurbishing the pub. It has been neglected for years and it is a very real asset to the area

Just 2 or 3 years ago Marston's came and did a presentation about how they were fgoing to invest in and modernise the pub, and it would all be wonderful. That was when they wanted planning permission for the new shop..... credibility ???

Great pub, delicious food, best staff in the country. Better than a bunch of crappy shoebox houses that will mostly be sold to buy-to-let landlords!
