I've used this pub for almost thirty years, great atmosphere always, it's iconic to the area and doesn't need bulldozing to make way housing. Marstons need to find another area to do that and invest a little bit back into the community that has supported you for many years and hopefully many more to come. The present management are doing a great job.

Enough pubs have closed around here. Why can't this one be safe. It needs to be a carvery like the Newbridge and like the Spread Eagle at Gailey, its on a main road and would be lots of passing trade.

While diversity in drinking culture flourishes across the world, the UK is losing its pubs. And shutting down a profitable business in the UK today is just daft.
