Such a lovely pub that I still go to with friends for an occasional meal. In a lovely location and part of my childhood/teenage memories. Just needs some TLC to get it back to its former glory .

Marstons at it again. Remember The Wheel in Codsall? Should be opening pubs not knocking them down to increase their profits.

Come on Marstons it's about time you refurbished the Claregate you waste so much money refurbishing the likes of the Oddfellows public house at Compton every couple of years and they still continue to offer poor service with staff that have no idea what customer service is about and food that is poor value for money the staff at the Claregate are far superior and it's always a pleasure to visit them whether it's for a drink or a family meal, surely if you upgraded the Claregate more people would visit and safe guard the jobs of the fantastic staff that work their and represent what a true public house \ restaurant should look and feel like. Shame on you if you sell this land for houses to be built on.

we don't want more houses built on this site and for the pub to go .... Spend the money you received from tesco by selling the car park and give this pub the much needed refurbishment it needs....

The Claregate is a well known pub and having lived there with my family for 12 years it would
Be criminal to destroy it and its heritage for more houses that nobody wants to see,,,

Our pub needs saving. Let them build elsewhere. This pub has been there for years part of my history and why should the lovely people that work there lose they jobs which they love. Xx

The Claregate is a fantastic place for people to meet and get together as friends and families. It would be a tragedy to see this social hub and beautiful building destroyed thank you all for signing.

Four generations of my family have used this popular community pub. It is already profitable, and has huge potential.
