One of the main reasons for a divide growing in Britain and crime rates rising is the lack of communities integrating and coming together. The claregate is a place ive spent many good times, used to be there every Tuesday for quiz night and more importantly made many friends who I would usually have never spoke to from all ages and walks of life. Tearing down such an iconic pub in the community to build more houses would just be a travesty. It's not just a pub its a place where a community can come together and the fact there is even a thought of tearing it down shows exactly where the problems in society are coming from. The greed of the politics.

Please don't get rid of the pub. The area simply wouldn't be the same without it. We go to the claregate all the time with our family for meals and drinks.

This is where I met my husband 28 years ago and has been part of the community for as long as I can remember. Claregate would not be the same without it!

We all know the Claregate serves the community much better than a few additional houses would.
