My daughter should have a choice to be safe and happy. Don't take that away.

For years, our tax dollars have supported teens and adults who chose certain life style habits (drugs, illicit sex, alcohol) that caused their own health and welfare issues. Adults who were born with I/DD should have just as much right to help and support for their health and welfare within the USA.

Nothing good can come from shutting these facilities down.

Sad this is even an issue.

People with IDD and their families deserve the right to CHOOSE where they receive services and what type of services they receive. Due to safety issues, not everyone can work in the community!!

It is unbelievable that anyone who deals with I/DD individuals would agree with the CMS ruling. Keep spreading the word!

I NEED to be able to make the choice for my son. It is not possible for him to work in a community setting because of safety issues and his wandering tendencies . He would need a constant one on one support in the community. I NEED to be able to make the right choice for my child when the time comes for him as will graduate in 2 years. Closing any vocational setting should not even be an option. I must have a safe environment for my child to grow and become as independent as possible. He worked in Clelian Heights workshop last summer and did very well and he will do so again this summer. He loves it there and I am very comfortable sending him to a place that makes us both happy! Saving our Choice is a MUST!!

My daughter is thriving at the Clelian workshop. It is not possible for her to work in the Community because of safety issues. She would need a constant one on one support in the community. Come visit our Clelian Workshop and see how well these adults are thriving and love being in this environment!!!

Taking away services is ridiculous. It shows a total lack of understanding regarding this issue.

These workshops are an integral part of the employment training for developmental & intellectual delays adults. The Clelian Heights workshop in Greensburg, PA is a wonderful workshop & benefits the adults tremendously.
