This program has so many benefits that outweigh any negatives. My son benefits tremendously and to cut the program would be detrimental to him.

I NEED to be able to make the right choice for my child. Closing any vocational setting should not even be an option. I must have a safe environment for my child to grow and become as independant as possible. Saving our Choice is a MUST!!

So many adults with Downs and similar disabilities have no family left to care for them. They need facilities like Clelian Heights - a safe environment with love, care and support available - and the only "choice" for some. Our legislature should support organizations like this as a wise use of our tax dollars.

I am an employee at Clelian Heights and I see, first hand, how important the Clelian Heights work shop is to the clients. They thrive in working in a safe environment where much love and care is shown to them by all of the staff. It gives them a purpose and great meaning in life to be able to perform their jobs with pride and enthusiasm because they know they are safe and are able to perform their jobs in a safe environment. It is unfair and unconstitutional for anyone to take this choice away from them.

I have a 9 yo Severely Autistic son, who will be a Severe Autistic Adult sooner than later. We will be depending on these waivers to help our children not get list in the cracks.

My daughter functions at a very low level and does not even comprehend what competitive employment means. She needs the opportunity to continue in her training facility.

Our loved ones deserve to live and work in a safe, loving, and caring environment. This is achieved by wonderful settings like Acme Providers and the workshop at Clelian Heights. It is imperative that these options remain viable and available. Anything else is unacceptable.
