My brothers have been in a workshop environment for the last several years now, and it's done wonders for them. They and any others with disabilities should have the right to continue working here if they and their caretakers so desire, and to take away this option is not only harmful, but outright ignorant of the needs of so many in our community.

Those with IDD must be defended for obvious reasons. I believe that the greatness (strength) of a nation should be gauged by the way in which its citizens view, support, and defend the young, the old, and those with mental and physical disabilities.

I have worked with individuals in this type of setting in the past. These workshops are a vital part of these individuals development and a necessary part of their social and workforce development skills. Closing them would be detrimental to so many.
