My daughters life was saved here 19 years ago. I am forever grateful.

We have spent many days and nights in the PICU. Most recently in January to March of this year. Our daughter also was on ECMO. There is no team that I would rather have taken care of our girl then the PICU team. Most of the time I was there alone and they always made sure I was ok and knew what was happening. There is nothing I can say or do to show my gratitude to them. As they saved my daughters life.

Please please reconsider! As a nurse at Childrens and a former Nurse tech in the PICU, I have seen first hand what this excellent physicians team has achieved! They have literally achieved the impossible! I am also a mother whose son was in the PICU years ago with respiratory failure and on a vent and I have always said the time spent in the PICU and the excellent care, not only my son, but myself as well received is the reason I pursued nursing and determined that CMH is where I would work! #lovewill #piculove

I had the privilege to work with Zei’s mother. Because of her Children’s Mercy was known around the world and brought hope to others that had the unknown that Zei had. Her post about their journey & the care she received was heard by so many. Please listen to what she has to support.

I can’t believe they would purposely seek out less experienced doctors! Very sad.

Please think deep about the years of experience that it takes to make things excel. The future depends on their knowledge & dedication.

Please, do not cut of the source of your success as elaborated above. Spread the financial risk across the system stakeholders but do not jeopardize lives!

I am simply dumbfounded at the possibility of this happening in the hospital I worked for 40 years and was so proud to be a part of during that time.

I had the opportunity to work alongside the PICU intensivists for nearly 20 years - they were and are an amazing group of physicians - CMH needs them.

This appears to be a very short sighted decision being made by CMH and will significantly put the patients at a disadvantage. The anesthesiologists from AAKC are a team and work together and collaborate daily. Essentially terminating all of those doctors and hiring new ones that have never worked together is going to be a disaster and will put many patients in harms way. I hope the board reconsider this decision.

The patients deserve to have the best chance to live with their illnesses. This team IS the best chance. They have proven that they save lives!
