It is pretty disgusting a new administration would compromise continuity and quality of care by ending this relationship. I hope this petition is taken seriously for the safety and wellbeing of critically ill children in our community.

There is a reason that CMH is the best children’s hospital In the Midwest region...it’s the staff. The multiple combined years of experience and knowledge let alone compassion and care that they give every patient. Replacing them would be like ripping the heart out of a lion. There’s no way you will have the same reputation and services without the specialized intensivists and anesthesiologists. Cut costs somewhere else, not with the treasured docs

Fire your best and brightest to save a buck. In the meantime, let’s put the children at risk while the “early in their career” docs get the hang of it. If the AAKC has too much sway or $$ then renegotiate the contract(s). Don’t fire the A-team, call up the minor leaguers and expect the same results.
