My grandson is here today because of those hard working men and women working in the PICU. He has HLHS, our babies need the best and experienced people taking care of them.

Experience is key! Experience can be the difference between life and death for this babies! I am all for teaching those fresh to the field but not at the cost of a child’s life!!!

I work with a population of children who are frequently flyers in the picu. They need the best drs and nurses to fight for them!

A health care system that trades children’s lives for financial savings is not a viable option.

The most phenomenal team is in that Picu and this is a huge mistake by the powers that be

My husband is an anesthesia resident who rotated at CMH and spoke of the exemplary care that the physician anesthesiologists provided to Children’s Mercy patients in the PACU and OR. He was baffled to hear about this. This cannot happen.

praying that God's wisdom is granted to those having to make such decisions, and God's provision be given to the medical team who has dedicated their life to saving others

As an anesthesiologist and a mom who practices in northwest Missouri, it has always reassured me to know that 45 min away is a team of dedicated anesthesiologists and intensivists to take care of our most vulnerable pediatric patients. I am so disappointed in Children’s Mercy to terminate the contract with this amazing group of clinicians.

Two of my children have spent months in the PICU. This team is irreplaceable. I can’t say enough good about them. I don’t know what is happening that CMH would make this decision, but they can’t afford to loose this team!

This hospital is what it is because of it’s stuff and part of it are the experienced and recognized doctors. Don’t hurt the hospital by letting good doctors leave
