It's essential to have call handlers who have local knowledge. It comes down to money or people's lives. Money usually wins - let's make sure the people win this time. Sir S House left Police Scotland with a huge debt but I bet he had a very hefty final paycheck - a knighthood too - for ruining our police force!?

People will die unnecessarily when the north control rooms close. Taking police officers off the street to replace civilian staff will cost more and mean less police officers to attend calls. The people of the north of Scotland deserve the same level of policing as those in the central belt.

it is totally out of order to centralise this sort of local service - how many more people have to die for this to be recognised???

This would just be ludicrous to close Inverness. The persons making these decisions have not thought this through and are placing the publics safety at risk.

It is important to keep both call centres open. To close them with calls then having to to through to central belt then dundee is a disgrace. Local knowledge of the excellent call takers will be lost which will cost lives. Aberdeen, the Shire, Moray and the North are vast rural areas dependent on local knowledge. Please keep these call centres open

Changes to services purely based on cost put lives at risk. Local information is paramount in getting to locations in the shortest times. Using googlemap does not cut it.
