The Highlands is a huge area and we need a local call centre.

I am an OAP who lives in the highlands and feel this is a very worthwhile service that should be KEPT in the highlands and not put to a central office as local knowledge is needed in this area.

We need local control with local knowledge. Just because we are not central belt does not mean that we do not matter. Proper support to the local boys on the beat can only be delivered by someone who knows the area.

It is essential that these call centres remain open.

Safety of the public cannot be measured in pounds and pence. Local knowledge saves lives. No amount of technology can make up for local knowledge

Disgraceful for the oil capital of Europe to have the call centre relocated south. There will be more incidents of people put at risk dying due to this ridiculous decision. All to do with money and nothing to do with care and safety in the community.

Another example of the SNP not giving any consideration to any where outside the central belt.

begs the question- why do they think we don't need them? Need to be local . Bad enough when we have to explain to Aberdeen how to get to some where other than Aberdeen.

Call centres need to be local and have local knowledge to make sure callers get the help they need from the police without delay. It could be the difference between life and death as we've seen.

Common sense for the one answering the phone to know the local area and dialect otherwise they do not know what you are talking about.

Absolute stupidity to think of moving them out of the area,- callers here speak the local Doric language, and would not even be understood. LOCAL knowledge is essential.

Disgraceful centralisation especially following the two M9 deaths - local knowledge vital in relation to remote and rural areas - short sighted money saving putting people at risk

Makes no common sense. People who live 200 miles don't know what and where things are locally, madness

Central belt cannot adequately deal with an area as large as the Highlands
