Listen to the population & those who have experience in policing the NE of Scotland. Your one size fits all approach doesn't work. Learn from the bitter experience of the call centre staff who can't cope, contributing to the death of two. There's no shame in getting things wrong if you learn from the experience.

I was horrified at the recent incident near Strling where the girl was left injured n the car for three days-call centre clearly not working - needs to be local for it to be effective.

I was a serving officer (based in Northern Ireland). They centralised "call handling" to Belfast. One of the call handlers rang my mobile to ask if I knew a where a certain place was on a 6 mile stretch of road. There had been an RTC and they weren't sure where it was. AS a local officer, I knew the place well and was able to give the handler the info. Sadly the driver was killed instantly, but valuable time could have been lost trying to locate this incident.

Keep every emergency service call centre open. These facilities are key to delivering vital service support at local level.

Local knowledge is an often overlooked commodity which should be seen as a vital tool in helping to provide a safe public service. The more rural an area the less relevant postcodes become and the more likely people are to use local lace amens which could well be meaningless to someone in a remote call centre.

They do not care about the safety of the Scottish people. Lives will continue to be lost, all in the name of rushed through cost-cutting.

It is totally wrong to put finance before someone's life. The service provided has already suffered as a result of the single force and this vital lifeline to so many people shouldn't be allowed to close.
