Sorry, you can't beat local knowledge. It will put lives at risk.

Without local knowledge time will be wasted & lives could be endangered. Current control room staff in the north have an invaluable depth of local knowledge because they have served across their policing area.

I know someone working in the Aberdeen call centre and what they tell me about the Dundee people who come up to see them, they don't have a clue about our area,so help us God if something awful were to happen get rid of some of the top brass then afford our call centre

I think it is vital that the call centre remains local as the staff will be familiar with the all areas and can direct emergency services etc without hesitation.

Doesn't make sense to close the call centres. All local knowledge will be lost.

The North & North East area deserves local staff with knowledge of area and dialect otherwise lives could be lost through needless delays in responding to emergencies.

In emergency situations (which after all is the ultimate reason for such call centres to exist) time is of the essence. Local knowledge, or at least on a regional basis, == time saved which can be a matter of life OR death! The Scottish Government have succeeded in making a complete hash of our police service - just as with education and health. Their Central Belt-centric centralising policies put Westminster/ London in the shade on any and every count.
