Centralisation of control rooms will potentially put lives at risk. The Highlands and islands region is a vast and unique geographical area, good local knowledge is crucial for the safety of residents in the region.

I think that the further cost cutting within Police Scotland which will result in the closure of the Aberdeen & Inverness Call Centres will put the general public resident in these areas at serious risk of injury and possibly death compared with those in the South of Scotland who have call centres near at hand.

It is madness to close both of these call centres, the people who are taking calls in the central belt would not understand the accents or the areas with strange sounding names. Have they not learned their lesson from the tragic deaths near Stirling. Is it a case of north of the central belt is of no importance to this government.

Local call centres are vital to the local communities. Local knowledge is vital to help the local people in their hour of need. Does an operator in the Central Belt have the local knowledge for the Highlands and Island or rural Aberdeenshire? No they don't. Keep our local call centres open.
There is no substitute for local knowledge.
No comment needed, it's common sense!!!
