We need to keep the local knowledge and experience of staff who know their area.

I was a police information room controller over 2 years (1970's) and have no doubts whatsoever that it is hugely important to keep this facility local.

We need to keep LOCAL call centres - lives could be at risk if they are closed due to lack of local knowledge.

It' s scandalous that they are still pushing on to close the Call Centre's after the findings of the Report that came out.

Beggars belief this asset stripping is being allowed. With Royal Deeside, the busiest heliport in Europe, offshore and innumerable other facilities linked to local people that the service centre and control room should be closed and based in the central belt. Local people with suffer terribly and will be too late when closed. Why should the Highlands and Grampian suffer?

North & North East Scotland always seems to be of no importance.

I have it on good authority that local knowledge has made a real difference and saved lives in the past. It is a disgrace that this important input is being disregarded.

We desperately need to stop focusing everything on the Central Belt. Google maps is no substitute for genuine local knowledge!

This SNP Crowd are bloody joke and the M9 two people laying in a car for 3 or 4 days is shocking and terrible. Stopping kids under 12 in the street by police constables and checking them out is terrible and shocking and you can understand coppers wearing guns in London or Manchester or Leeds big Cities and busy places with lots of people but not wee villages etc in scotland. This SNP are getting a bit big headed and should be kicked out of office A.S.A.P. Their doing the same with Education and the Schools Colleges & Universities etc. The same with the NHS in Scotland. What has this SNP bunch done since they came into office in 2007?? Nothing . This Nicola Sturgeon is pulling the wool over peoples eyes.

Aberdeen and Highland are very large areas and local call centre staff know exactly where you are in an emergency but not staff from the Central Belt.

Centralisation is going too far. Local knowledge is invaluable.

AS A FORMER POLICE OFFICE AND ONE WHO WORKED IN A CONTROL ROOM FOR SOME 3 YEAS i KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO HAVE LOCAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE AREA YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR LOCAL KNOWLEDGE AND MINUTES CAN COST LIVES ON OCCASIONS.

It is an absolute disgrace that this government is allowing this to happen. They are intent in having everything in the central belt or as near as. The accents in the north area are so difficult to understand that this will be an accident waiting to happen, but, are they worried about that, indeed not.

Police call centres must be kept local especially in the Scottish Highlands where there are so many small communities in such a large geographical area. Central belt call centres have little or no idea of Highland place names and most importantly how best to effeiciently send assistance by the quickest means possible.
