999 calls mean an emergency situation - how long will it take to transfer a call from Edinburgh to Aberdeen then to local police service e.g. Stonehaven or Macduff or ?? who will then send police to the place and people desperately in need of emergency help? Keep 999 emergency services local.

Centralising call centres is a ridiculous idea, you lose all local knowledge. Would someone from Central Scotland know where Foggieloan was?

I think its shocking that police call centres should be closed in the North East of Scotland . Our Communities are very diverse and we need someone with local knowledge to action the call .

save our local call centres - why do away with such a valuable service particularly in view of the current spate of terrorist attacks, persons being assaulted in our streets and break-ins along with shops being invaded by thugs????

Experience of the new Force has shown that total centralisation is not working. Local knowledge must be better able to prioritise calls and retain the public confidence in the Service.
