You can't close our call centres in Scotland as local knowledge is a basic requirement in all emergency cases not only for the safety of our officers but the public also

I believe it's imperative to keep both the Inverness and Aberdeen call centres open, and retain local community policing. Centralisation of the police force is Not the answer.

It is so important that there is local knowledge because when someone is calling 999 for help they are not going always be familiar with a road number but are more likely to be able to describe what is round about them.
