First the color of an ice cream parlor door and now the community planted trees. What the hell has this town become? Get it right, save the trees.

A great tragedy and waste of time to take out the lovely trees...we still have to drive down 8th Street East and see the slaughtered eucalyptus giants lying on the side of the road...

Please preserve the Red Oak trees along Broadway between Napa and Patten.

It was sad to see the large trees removed near the high school. It changed the entire look of Broadway. This is what our visitors see. Let's keep it beautiful and green!

I have looked at and enjoyed those trees since they have been planted. Fix the concrete and let the trees grow. They will last longer than I petty squabbles.

The trees should be the responsibility of the whole community. The Wine tasting rooms could share a little more of the load as they profit so much from it.

Does the city intend to reimburse all the private donors if they elect to remove the trees?...it would be interesting to post a photo of broadway without the trees.

I have lived here in Sonoma most of my life and the tree lined streets are part of the charm that Sonoma has to offer to its residence as well as its visitors. Lets try and keep that part of our old town charm intact.

It feels wrong, after all the funds raised by private parties to destroy these trees. Please leave them and find another way!

I feel it would be a travesty to remove these beautiful trees. When is this selfish insanity going to end!

Although I do not live in Sonoma, I have family who do so I visit often. I live in Mt. Shasta where our city pretty much did the same thing. They took out our beautiful trees along the boulevard where they had stuggled to fine water since the cement was poured up to their trunks when planted. Mindfullness of a tree's needs when planting can ensure coexistence for safety and growth. Using pavers and grates around trees will provide the right conditions for deeper root growth. Please fix the hardscape and leave the trees be.

Those trees give an amazing beauty to upper Broadway and our cherished City Hall Plaza!!! It would be a crime to wantonly cut them down! Please, figure out another solution.

The city should foot the bill for the sidewalk repair and leave the trees alone.

these trees are beautiful, give great shade and make the drive down broadway something very special, indeed.

Although I live out of the city proper, I see these trees daily. They are a part of the beauty of where I live.
