ripped the character out of this beloved historic trail. Already been run off by kids on motorbikes.

Work being undertaken with disregard to the wild life that has developed since the line was shut.ed

I've walked from Wickham to Meonstoke using this trail a few times and I have never found it to be inaccessible at any point. My horsey mates are gutted that the surface is no longer fit for certain types of riding, nor for their unshod horses.

The railway line has been used for years and through generations of my family on horse back. It is one of the only safe and secure places that we can enjoy put horses without having to worry about idiots in their cars I know more that 2 people who's horses have been hot out on the roads and they no longer feel happy with riding on them. The new surface has benefits yes.. Such as disables access but what about the safely of the able bodied and their horses wellbeing. This surface is not suitable for horses nor more cyclists!! Did u not think to ask people's opinions before taking such actions and spending such a ridiculous amount of money!!

Amazing how long it took for a new path and for someone to put on Facebook off roading down the track.

Dangerous and boring to run on with the type of surface and lack of vegetation.

The works to date have been nothing short of a disaster for so many different user groups.

I very much object to the current works which appear rushed to meet expenditure deadlines, have not be subject to normal consultation processes or have due regard for environmental impact

More decisions by the faceless urban bureaucrats trying to share their view of how the countryside should look. Stand up to them - we're paying for this!
