Really disappointed with what has been done so far. Putting aside the butchery of the trees and the widening to unnecessary width, the surface is dreadful to cycle on and I assume similarly difficult for pushchairs and buggies. Also why has west mean station been cleared, surely it was more satisfying to discover it hidden in the tree.

I'll start by saying I am not a horse rider, and have no vested interest from that perspective, however, I do live next to the track, and it very much feels that there was insufficient consulation and communications. Frankly it feels like a knee jerk spend that could have been used more wisely used in local schools or QA, or god forbid, saved!.

The Meon Valley Railway line should remain as it is. Currently it caters for the people that use it more than adequately. This is nothing more than the council posturing to complete a project to give themselves a pat on the back.

I am disgraced at the so called work that has been carried out on the Meon Valley trail so far destroying nature and making a once beautiful spot into nothing more than a badly surfaced road. The consultation if any on this work was next to non existent yet again. trees have been destroyed along with nature as well as making the trail well Un usable to all.

disgusting what they have done. They have ruined a beautiful idelic scene. In the summer it provided somewhere to ride horses, walk and cycle in the shade. not anymore. They can't put the trees back now they butchered them but maybe make wood chips and put that Down so it's soft and not dangerous with sharp stones.

This is a dreadful urbanisation of our countryside and ruins a great route for walkers and riders.

I have just walked along it and it is very uncomfortatble underfoot. Why do the authorities have to urbanise everything; this is the countryside and mud, puddles, ruts etc are part of it.

those involved with the upgrading of the trail must disclose full public liability certificate

I was born near the Warnford/Exton part of the old railway line, played and built camps etc up there many a time as I was growing up. Love walking along with my family and their dogs, old pumps or wellies on, part of the natural charm is the mud etc. Loads of other places to go for a walk if you want to wear nice smart shoes, Such natural beauty is being ruined. Its a very special place to me and this all makes me feel very sad. Destroying part of my childhood memories, all the magic taken away. How can you have a quiet stroll with the possibility of cars or motorbikes charging up and down. Wish i could go to meeting but am unable. Whats the reason for trying to make everything the same everywhere, takes away our freedom of choice.........

my mother and siblings used to play along here and walk the dogs and i would like to see the line kept in use for such things as it has always been. it is not and does not need to be a road. thats what other roads are gor. stop spoiling the countryside.

There was nothing wrong with the bridleway as it was, so why waste money and time changing it....

This is a totally unnecessary expenditure which is destroying the very thing that people want to come and see. Country paths get muddy when it rains, that it is why they are called 'country paths'.

this bridleway is of natural beauty and wonderful for horse riders. Please do not change anything.

I used to love this bridleway. spent lots of my childhood riding down it. If u want to put hardcore to make it universal at least keep a dirt track at the side for horses to use!!

surely cutting some trees back and spreading the tree bark on railway line would be enough
