Where are horse riders meant to ride instead? For a lot of riders in this area, their only option will be to ride on the A32! We are the wasting tax payers money on something that is not broken? I used to ride and now regularly run on the track and the surface is not an issue, yes it can get a bit muddy from time to time but that's part of running in the countryside!

A complete waste of tax payers money to resurface what has been an 'off road' byway for decades. It suits all users just as it is. If walkers and cyclists want to travel on a clean hard surface they can use the roads. This railway line is a long established, peaceful, country route away from roads.

The railway line should not be resurfaced so that it is unsuitable for horse riders. We do not have many places to ride that are off road, and as roads get busier they are more dangerous. We would not choose to ride on roads if we had good offroad areas (like the Railway Line) to ride on. By resurfacing it horse riders are being actively discouraged, and pushed to ride on roads to find more suitable areas.

We do not have enough bridleways and safe riding routes as it is, please do not take away one of the few that we do have by making it unsafe for riders.

There are few enough bridleways in the Fareham area as it is. Please don't let this valuable area which is also used by walkers as well be lost due to urbanisation.

this is a very important bridle path covering a wide area of riders. if this goes ahead it will defenatly have an impact on uard owners as liveries will move there horses due to the roads being unsafe to ride on. how can bridle paths keep disapearing when motortists no longer want horses in the road?????

The railway line is the only local place we have to ride off road. please don't take that away.

will be such a shame to prevent horse riders using the current bridal path, i know many people share this opinion. They are not an inconvenience to anyone and access is quite simple already for pushchairs and cyclists. i mean look at Hampshire's roads, they seem to be in a much worse condition. Keep the path accessible for horse and riders

I have used this railway line for over 45 years riding horses and still using it. Leave it alone for people to enjoy the way it is,spend the money on something more worth while

I regularly ride along the railway line. It's it one of the only places nearby that we can canter safely along. I understand that we can still acess the line and it is now fab for other users of the line. This said however I will no longer be able to use the line as I would have previously

I am a frequent horse rider down this bridleway and it would be such a waste to see it destroyed.
