The Gatlinburg I fell in love with no longer exists in large part because too many people are feeding the bears and making it unsafe for the bears and humans to coexist. I believe if Gatlinburg started handing out fines to those people instead of harming/euthanizing the bears, more people would stop feeding the bears.
We are enjoying THIER HOME, WE SHOULD RESPECT THEM

Please do the responsible and humane thing - require bear-proof garbage receptacles and fine people that feed the bears. The bears are one of the only reasons I visit the Smokies and Gatlinburg.

Please stop killing our bears. This is there home they are only letting us visit it. I'm not from there but the bears are the most beautiful things there. We come there to see them. Educational is what is need. If a bear has been feed build place for them to be put to live there lives out.

I’m canceling my upcoming trip to Gatlinburg. I don’t want to contribute to this problem and I don’t want to support a town who is doing so little to support its wildlife.
