Please save the bears. They were here long before us and it isn't fair for humans to threaten, harm, or run them out of their homes. They should be protected and respected.

Please make it a city ordinance to have bear proof trash cans on all floors of hotels and outside rentals and restaurants

Make the penalties harsh enough to deter this from happening.

I so love seeing the bears in their natural habitat and it really bothers me when people try to feed and get real close to them to take a picture. Please save and protect our BLACK BEARS. Let the animals enjoy their natural life and keep your distance.

This is an important & serious issue that NEEDS to be addressed! So far the only punishments given out have been on the bears!! It's NOT their fault!

Until people are held responsible for causing bears to be killed it will not stop. Its not their fault that they are being groomed for the stupidity of the picture takers.

I've been visiting Gatlinburg for as long as I can remember. It's my happy place. I love seeing bears in the wild, but it breaks my heart to know that irresponsible citizens and visitors are causing these beautiful animals to become a nuisance by feeding them and leaving their trash cans unsecured. I feel tge 2016 fire has pushed the bears towards town more so than before, and it's people's responsibility to help keep them safe from euthanasia by not feeding them and not making the garbage cans an attractive meal option for them. Please enforce the laws already in place for these things, and if possible, enact new ones to help curb the recent uptick in bears being euthanized. Thank you.

Yes! I insist the people breaking the law be prosecuted. Our fear of loosing tourism dollars if we enforce is ridiculous. No bears, no tourists.

There should be bigger penalties for people caught feeding bears.

Suspend the business license of habitual offenders that will not comply with bear proof containers.
