Now retired I taught for many years at Southdown Infants school and so am well aware of the need for a good local secondary school in this area and feel sad at the thought of it closing.

I ageee that this area needs its local school..it needs children to be nurtured and supported when they are often facing difficulties at home and in the commu ity as well as traditional education.

The area needs a vibrant school that cares about children - why can't the brilliant studio school relocate and open its doors to year 7 -13 for the community?

This school is a success. How can the school with the most improved results in the region this summer not be worthy of a place to build, yet it is being destroyed.

The community needs a school in the area. There isn't another school within walking distance that has spare places. It would be shortsighted to close it.
