The Y at Basinview was an incredible asset to our community, supporting seniors physical and mental health and keeping them put of doctors offices. Very very short sighted move on behalf of council. If the decision was based on finances alone then perhaps council should have prioritized it over some of the other financial fiascos they created. Please save this facility.

I could adapt here with YMCA’s help. BasinView Centre is a place representative to new comer.

Why does money always have to be the reason for making our decisions. Why is there no sign of compassion for anything these days. The decision to close the Basinview Centre without a good fight is the wrong path to be taking here. This centre has done so much good for this community for everyone, Now it's being taken away with only a 30 day warning and no sign of anyone coming forth to help. Secrecy from our Council is not the way to handle this either. We, the people who live here need to be informed and heard.

As a property owner and citizen of this community, I would hope there can be a solution attained. Too many choices and decisions are left to the lethargic politicians. This facility has so many beneficial resources for the community. We need this issue to be solved in an intelligent, caring manner. Surely there is a way to continue it. (Either by repair or replacement.)

Hard to believe that ACC has such little regard for our community's health, provision of essentials and services.

There’s more to this space, the Basin Center than a building ….it’s a Community, there’s old people, there’s young people, there’s middle-age people, there’s youth, and there are children who’s continued well being is the responsibility of the decision makers ( Council) of the County of Annapolis to provide services for health and welfare and wellness. Do your job!

There has to be a constructive solution to this proposed closure...it is just too important to our area!

The Y and grocery store is the only way they can justify our high taxes. If they are closed down, then what? Maybe if they didn't put so much money into that "new school" they would be able to support the people who really need it.
