With so much of our surroundings becoming devoped with new, bigger and taller buildings we really need to secure any green spaces that are currently being utilised in areas that support a high level of residential communities

i have lived all my life in Mt Lambert the aranguez was always a recreation for the area why do we need a sporting facility there.

people all we definitely can't let them steal our space we have to fight this with all that savannah gives so much health to so many people via exercise walkig jogging the variou sporting activities soccer cricket etc etc they mad or what!

As a frequent visitor to Mt Lambert, I walk in the Savannah almost daily when I am there. In my experience, there are few places where one can find such a pleasant and expansive walking path so close to residential neighbourhoods. It is not surprising it is so popular. Turning a large part of the Savannah into a built-up sports facility with parking would be a terrible loss.

I fondly recall when there was a real savannah with horses, livestock and over a dozen Samaan trees. There was no Priority Bus Route, no flourescent lights, no vehicles on the grass and lots of fruit trees in the Farrell estate house. Today, the vegetable farms to the south have disappeared and illegal squatters are almost everywhere. Aranguez Estates is no more. And the whole area is quickly becoming a ghetto. The elected government should stop this lunacy.
