The Aranguez Savannah is an essential contributor to community life in our area. Toddlers, the elderly, and everyone in between now enjoy the space. Every day it is busy with neighbours meeting and greeting one another, children playing, athletes training, and recreational activities. What is the point of disrupting this beautiful outdoor space that works so well for so many of us?

Aranguez is a very good and highly utilized recreational ground in its current state. Let's plant a few beautiful big trees in the savannah to replace the 8 or 9 Samaan tress that were lost over the past 40 years. Say a loud "NO" to destroying our Aranguez Savannah! Who asked for this proposed sporting facility to be built???

Why do politicians think that they know what is best for the communities that they serve? The very same thing is happening in Tacarigua with a politician who isn't even from the community telling residents of that community what is best for them. Do we need a revolution to let the know it all politicians that they cannot and should not treat citizens this way? Rise citizens and let your voices be heard.

It has been a part of the landscape for such a long time...seems a shame there is not greater recognition for that green space thinking and including the affected community in the decision making process.
