Save Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education

Osteopathic Medicine is under attack!
As you may know, in February of this year, representatives of the
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the American
Osteopathic Association (AOA), and the American Association of Colleges of
Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) met in Puerto Rico, out of the public eye and with
little input or analysis, agreed to a single accreditation system for graduate
medical education (GME) programs in the U.S.
Many fear this merger will cause irreparable harm and will
ultimately destroy the osteopathic medical profession. This past July, the AOA
voted down the merger but the issue gained support again for some reason. Now
we must unify as one in opposing unification of our accreditation process to
the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
Sign the Petition and join our effort to oppose the single
accreditation system for GME.
