You have to be willing to give something if you want people to go downtown. Take that little bit away & I think you will suffer

Council and Mayor we need this so people will keep coming to the downtown core to help revitalize it. Do not kill the revitalization.

If Kingsville can have free parking on their streets in a small town then there must be a way to keep 1 hr free parking in the garages to keep downtown businesses going in Windsor.

this is essential to the survival of businesses in the core ....I hate to think of how many people will think twice about going to the downtown farmer's market this coming summer without that one hour incentive

If you take away the free one hour parking then you will see a decline in business downtown.

The free parking has always been a big part of my life when visiting downtown. We would always rely on it for short stops.

I am in complete agreement with the BIA. I currently live on the East End of town, close to the Tecumseh border, and this new policy is a disincentive for me to visit the wonderful "mom and pop" independent stores in Downtown Windsor. This kind of thinking by council encourages people to move out to bedroom communities and to stay out of Windsor. It sends exactly the wrong message.

We use it quite a bit as we can never find a suitable spot to park downtown. We like to patronize downtown stores over the mall but if they start eliminating the first hour FREE we just might reconsider & forget about downtown shopping.

If anything, increase it to 1.5 hours don't decrease it. It will
Only damage small business.... Majority of windsor's downtown area

the hour of free parking downtown affords me the time to park and get to my merchant and back to my car comfortably and not waste that hour and the gas and add to the congestion looking for a spot so i can just run in. don't be penny wise and pound foolish
