I find it hard to believe that the money saved will be used to help with maintenance. I feel they both need a complete upgrade!!

People avoid coming downtown anymore. There is nothing to attract people and/or new business unless you are looking for bars/nightlife. The LEAST the city could do for the loyal, tax paying businessmen and business women in the downtown Windsor area is offer one-hour free parking to their customers and clients in an effort to generate foot traffic and hopefully more shopping/dining, etc..

I have lived downtown or close to downtown Windsor for more then 29 years. I sure do wish that city council would stop concentrating on revitalizing the downtown. Where is the long term plan and investment. I thought this new city council would have been different.

This is ridiculous.... This is definitely not the way to bring people to the downtown core. Everywhere we go now you have to pay for parking here. Are we ever going to get a break.

Just for everyone's information, this edict which basically changes the shopping habbits and traffic of customers downtown DOES NOT EFFECT BAR OWNERS or eating establishments who are open after 6pm, their main drinking and carousing hours when there is FREE STREET PARKING ALL NIGHT UNTIL 9AM. Just thought we should throw that into the conversation.

Lets not just bring back free parking for an hour, lets loosen it up and make it so the first two hours are free!

To improve downtown make it easy for customers. Blocking access to business you are trying to improve is illogical.

Many towns that have nice downtowns with shopping and restaurants have free parking all the time! Windsor should keep the one hour free parking option but consider free parking to revive our downtown!!!
