The damage is irreversible. This person should be charged with disorderly conduct, illegal modification of state property and the park should get a restrain order against that person. He should not be allowed to enter any florida state park for a long time, at least 10 years. He should be treated as a fellon, because he committed a crime. That's my opinion.

Why are we cutting the roots?

Removing the root system to these old trees will kill off the tree and then that dead tree stump will sit there and rot away and eventually take out bikers and add more objects for them to mover around. Plus that tree was there before anyone else.

You take away all that and you take the fun out of MTB. It's supposed to be a challenge, that's the cool part of this sport. The more technical it is (rocks, roots, more roots, more roots, turns) perfects your skills as a biker.

Do not tear it up! It ruins the integrity of the trail and kills the trees!

This park was aquired in the Forever Florida Act and is protected against damage to the park by morons like Tom wielding an axe not only should he be immediately stopped but he and those who allowed him should be criminally charged with destruction of protected state park lands.

We don't have a lot and as riders we need to be able to progress. These roots have been there for decades. Leave them alone.
