Develop a plan to revive old town Ashburn. How about open park space, trails with small business stores that bring people together? Have the community take part in the process.

I've lived in Ashburn since I was in Kindergarten and I am now a sophomore in college. During my time in Ashburn, I have seen trees knocked down and new buildings and new roads put up everywhere. Every time I come home for break during college, I see something old gone and something new appear. Old Ashburn is one of the ONLY things still remaining that captures the uniqueness and history of this town. Do not knock it down - all it will do is de-characterize Ashburn.

Area can not bear more traffic & housing. The data center take over has already ruined the areas around Ashburn, please do not remove the last bit of charm and peace in the area!

This development is completely against the original plans of old Ashburn and will not only create a traffic mess, but a safety hazard as it will create lag for the fire department. Furthermore, what is the environmental impact of additional construction in this area? I'm seeing a lot of development happening and very little green spaces planned. We need further traffic studies before we add any more homes in this area.

There is no way Hay Rd & Ashburn Rd Intersection could handle this. It's struggling as it is. Please stop the unnessary development!! Save Old Ashburn!!!

This area of Ashburn was never designed to have high occupancy housing. The current zoning loophole is nothing more than that, a loophole. It needs to be changed to match the existing zoning of the surrounding areas and keep what the city planners always envisioned for Ashburn. Family homes with no more than 4 homes per acre. The heart of Old Ashburn cannot accommodate the increased traffic without having significant adverse affects to the community. These include diminished safety of our pedestrians and our children, more automotive traffic than the existing roads can accommodate, overcrowding of our schools, and putting more of the wild animal population at risk as well. I strongly object to any new development with occupancies higher than 4 homes per acre.

The intersection of Hay Road and Ashburn Road is unable to handle the existing traffic, let alone accommodate additional vehicles into the already congested area. This will impact residents as well as emergency response.

Ashburn Rd. Cannot handle this type of build up. Let's keep some part of Ashburn unique and less built up.

I live in old ashburn. Unchecked development is dangerous for this small, historic part of town. The streets are narrow and many of the historic homes come right up to the road as it is. There are we sidewalks and I worry about the many children living here. We do not want huge developments put in that are nothing but corporate greed. We want homes built to look like they belong with plenty of green space and ample access in and out. Traffic is already a problem. Hundreds of new houses would create a huge draw on taxes resources such as schools.

Stop development!! There is no reason to develop this portion of Ashburn. It would ruin its character and history. It might shock you but developers DO NOT need to build on every single available piece of land that is open. It is ok. We'll all survive without tons more development in Loudoun.

This area is already congested, please do not make it worse.

The placement of condos in this area would lead to numerous cars, traffic, the need for road expansion, safety concerns for the high volume on W&OD trail, along with other numerous problems. Please do not allow this.

The most concerning issue pertains to safety. The intersection of Hay Road and Ashburn Road is unable to handle the existing traffic, let alone accommodate approximately 200 additional vehicles into the already congested area. This is dangerous for the children and families who walk in this area and for those who utilize the adjacent WO&D trail. In addition to increased noise levels, the unprepared growth will delay emergency vehicles and the bordering fire department from access to their destination, possibly endangering human lives needing help at dire times. The nearby schools will foreseeably face overcrowding and the bus stops will not be able to provide for the children living in the additional hundred plus living spaces. The RC zoning for "unlimited" residents is antiquated and did not factor today’s community. In lieu thereof, we request and support a ZOAM PH-4 as designated use for the RC zoning.

Historical zoning was not designed for high density housing. I would personally welcome smart, modern, well thought out development in Old Ashburn, but 50 condos jammed into 2 acres off Jenkins Lane is insanity. The RC zoning should be capped at 4 units per acre.
