I grew up in Ashburn and every week would drive down this road to go to the fire department to see my dad. I would be so terribly upset to see it go. I think the buildings should be restored. As a community I think we could all pitch in and help.

So sick of all the development in Ashburn. I moved here because it was a sleepy little community. Not interested in any more townhouses or condos. Lets preserve the little bit of charm left here!!

Keep and restore the old buildings in Old Town Ashburn. Stop building new townhouses and multi family dwellings.

The Old Ashburn community is not asking for anything not originally meant in the zoning regulations. Developers who build single family homes and keep them to match the existing "Old Ashburn" look are what was clearly meant by the zoning documents. However, legal interpretation on the side of the land developers has allowed them to pack dozens or more of town houses on a single acre. Why would the community have moved to make the Old Ashburn area an officially Virginia recognized historic district in 2014 if anyone wanted literally hundreds of town homes built here? No one that lives here wants this.

When I first moved to Ashburn, i asked, "where is the old town/downtown?". Someone pointed Old Ashburn out to me. It's all we have, and we should save it. I often take Ashburn Road just so I can drive through and feel a bit of history. It should be preserved. Ashburn already has more than enough condos and housing developments, but not enough history and old town.

This is crazy. How could anyone think this is a good idea right across the street from the Fire Station?! Ashburn Rd won't bear the extra traffic. Can you imagine the fire trucks getting stuck because of cars backed up? This is a one lane road people! Not to mention the W&OD crossing...frustrated drivers on a one lane road stopping for bikes & people? Could get ugly...just saying.

In rush hours, the traffic at the intersection of Hay Rd and Ashburn rd. has been at its capacity if not over the capacity. Sometimes it take a few minutes to get through.

Please let broadlands brambelton and Lansdowne be the place for growth..I've lived in the farms very close to old Ashburn for 8years now..Moving from Arlington I can safely say it's a shame to see a piece of history and culture be paved over...The roads won't support the traffic..Local business will not benefit, I'd also predict if that area gets over built that section of the wo&d trail will be less of a stoping spot.. and for those families that have lived most their life their..We don't have the right to pave over their memories
