Save Oakhurst Head Start!!

I believe oakhurst needs to have its own county, and it's own funding. It's a very high tourist town and deserves the respect of its own county.

I am sure with some collaboration we can sustain enrollment. Please seek out Tom Wheeler's Eastern Madera County inter-agency collaborative.

Please do not close this program. Please support this program for children and families who are unable to pay for private preschools in the area. Research shows that children who attend preschool have higher chances of staying in school throughout elementary, middle and high school and have higher chances of both getting into and graduating from college. Please make a wise decision that ensures all families have equal access to quality preschool programs. Thank you.

Me and my son absolutely love this place. My son loves his school and the teachers. He looks forward to coming to school and playing with his new friends. They have such a good ciriculum for their age too. Losing this school for kids would be detrimental to these kids. Low income families here need this place. I know I do.

Teachers have a job and kids need their education. PLEASE THINK OF THE KIDS. What a teacher does can never be seen as a $ amount for their works are priceless.

My mother ran the Head Start program in North Fork in the early 70's. Without programs like this many kids would have no access to important pre-school education.

All my children went to a head start program and they have all excelled tremendously the more education they can get the better off them will become.

Save the Head Start program!!

My daughter attended Head Start and I couldnt have been more thankful. I firmly believe without this program she would not be where she's at today intellectually or academically. Its devastating to hear such an amazing opportunity for these little beings may be stripped away. Its programs like these that help our future succeed and isn't this what we want in this world??? This community has a huge need for this! It would be tragic to lose it and put people out of work just to give a few others a raise??

I went to this headstart and now we live in another state. But my daughter has also gone to headstart. No matter where the program is, it is important to the community.

save this school. it is the only DA preschool for low income kids in the area.

We need this program.

Please keep this program going! My 25 year old daughter went to this program and on to college.
