These contests are a part of life in rural areas. Do the sponsors even KNOW what the contest involve?

Please allow the sports of hunting with dogs to continue in NYS.
Tournaments help educate our youth. Field trials and competition help hone skills and provide exercise for all participants.

This is damaging both to community and wildlife. The competitions promote hunters and fisherman to be selective on there take. Letting the young have a chance to grow. It also promotes pride, patience and survival skills. The community takes pride in the people that take part in these events.

Tired of this state trying to stop all forms of hunting. It is a tradition that needs to be continued and competition builds skills

Please protect our outdoor hunting, fishing and trapping traditions and activities. Our children’s future desperately needs these sports and activities for so many reasons, including a love of nature and therefore the next generation will know a need to protect nature and open spaces. Among so many other reasons.

I see nothing wrong in enjoying a weekend rabbit derby with friends and family. Why don't they focus on bringing jobs back to New York and curbing taxes. The hunting community in New York spends a lot of money each year on licenses, guns, ammo, and other gear.

Hunting with our without dogs is still in accordance with all environmental conservation laws and hunting laws. Wildlife management is important for seeking the balance of populations, hunters are the best conservationists for doing so.
