Please do not pass this bill! It is senseless and no good would come from passing this!

I was born and raised in upstate New York and still go every year for rabbit competitions and perch derby. Not only is this bill proposing to take away heritage it's taking away a large amount of revenue for small towns and businesses.

These competitions are more than fishing derby or field trials they are about teaching children a life skill. One that can not be taught in a class room. Many sportsman involve there children in fishing and sporting dog events giving them a love for the environment that surrounds them.

This law will negatively impact three charities/community programs/resources in the Naples, NY area. Are there not greater causes and ideas that you can focus one. Who ever wrote or sponsored this bill has little or no concept of the upstate culture. :-(

So narrow minded of the sponsors of this bill. If they had one iota of what goes on up here it might start a productive discussion.

As long as no animals are abused, Sportsmen's traditions should continue. This laws goes against the Constitution and the freedoms of New York residents.

As a sportsman of over 40 yrs. in NY I am totally opposed to any infringement on my desired way of life which includes but is not limited to any contest I desire to join. Be it hunting, fishing or field trials as examples. Just because a certain group or groups of people dont understand this way of life and often misrepresents it, should not give them the right to infringe their way of life on all sportsman.

If this bill is put into law, it could potentially shut down my family business.
