No upzoning! Please stop with the luxury rentals. Norwalk needs more affordable and decent senior living. Too much traffic, not enough infrastructure, not enough schools, preserve the open space.

My suggestion to Mayor Rilling is to build homes above/along side and above allowing tunnels for residents to travel directly on 95 south at 7-8:30 am and see how that works.

Norwalk is already overcrowded. You must not be paying attention to streets you are looking to rezone no will on a street where people park on both sides of the road making it already almost impossible to pass on some days. There have been so many close calls with cars as well as kids. Enough is enough.

Stop the P&Z nonsense - Norwalk can not sustain their continued ruination of Norwalk. Kleppen should be dismissed and allowed to trash another town.

P&Z should focus on the unique features of East Norwalk’s geography. Hemmed in as it is by the Norwalk River, Long Island Sound, I-95, and the Saugatuck River, increased density will choke it to death. Only two western access routes: a very active drawbridge and a very dangerous segment of the thruway. Only two north access routes: East Avenue and Strawberry Hill Avenue. Only one eastern access point: Route 136. Perhaps increased urbanization can produce some positive environmental effects in some areas, but until East Norwalk becomes a self-contained community, complete with enough commercial infrastructure that no one would ever have to leave its precincts, then it will be a traffic nightmare: idling cars, wasted hours, short tempers, aggressive driving, etc. And even then, because East Norwalk already serves as the recreational playground for the whole city and beyond - Vets Park, Calf Pasture Beach, Taylor Farm, Cove Marina, Shorehaven Golf Club, and The Shore & Country Club, Pastime Club, East Norwalk Boat Club - its streets will be saturated with vehicles. And just wait until tractor trailers start using Route 136 as a gateway to avoid traffic jams on I-95! It’s too bad that not one single person on P&Z actually lives in East Norwalk.

Leave the single family zones alone. We chose our neighborhood for the quality of life and invested in our City. Stop trashing Norwalk.
